Our Values

Lake Hills Baptist Church exists to glorify God by developing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ in our families, in our community and around the world.

Worship

We believe that worship is essential to our spiritual lives.  Our lives should be a living sacrifice for God's glory and this is our spiritual service of worship.
[Romans 12:1, 2; John 4:23, 24;  Hebrews 13:15, 16]

Fellowship
We believe that regular times of corporate worship, Bible study and mutual encouragement are vital to every Christian's spiritual well-being. The Word of God tells us not to forsake assembling together, and to consider how to stimulate one another on to love and good deeds. This experience of gathering unifies believers within the body of Christ.
[Acts 2:42-56; 1 John 1:3-7]

Community
We believe it is important to faithfully attend a local church and be established in a community of believers in Jesus Christ. It is important to be a part of one another's lives in a small group setting and in the congregation as a whole. We are a family, and we are here for the entire family, so that we can all love one another.
 [Colossians 2:1-3; Ephesians 4:1-5]

Growth
We believe that believers in Jesus Christ need to be growing in the knowledge and grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We do this by learning and obeying the teachings of God's Word, drawing near to God through worship and by serving others in love and good works.
[Ephesians 4:14-16; Colossians 2:18-19; 1 Peter 2:2; 2 Peter 3:18]

Caring
We believe it is important to have a true heartfelt relationship with one another. We are to have a genuine concern for those in the Body of Christ and we are to contribute to the needs of the saints.
[John 13:34, 35; Galatians 6:2; Romans 12:6-13]

Ministry
We believe it is very important for a believer's spiritual growth to be involved in some kind of ministry. God has gifted each one of us. We are called to use our unique gifts to further the Kingdom of God. We are to be obedient to His calling and serve God with our life, our gifts, and our abilities.
[Romans 12:1-21; Ephesians 2:10; James 1:22, 27]

Prayer
We believe prayer is communicating with God and that the prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much. We are called to pray for one another, pray for God's will, and pray for the lost.
[Colossians 1:9-12; Matthew 6:9-15; Ephesians 1:18-19; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18]

Evangelism
We believe it is obedience to God to tell others the Good News of Jesus Christ. We are commanded to go out and make disciples, and it is our privilege to boldly proclaim the Truth of Jesus Christ. People everywhere, all over the world, need to hear the Gospel so that they may believe.
[Colossians 1:28; 1 Peter 2:9-10; Matthew 28:16-20; Romans 1:14-16]
