Church SecretaryBillie Jo was called to the position of church secretary in the spring of 2006. After much prayer and seeking the Lord she agreed to take the position. Billie Jo feels it is her ministry is to assit people with their needs, especially as it relates to the Lord or to Lake Hills Baptist Church.
Billie Jo graduated from Bob Jones University with a degree in Elementary Education. Prior to coming on staff at Lake Hills, she taught preschool for many years. She appreciates the balanced preaching and music at the church. She is active in the Ladies' Bible Studies and she is blessed by the many wonderful people who attend Lake Hills.
Growing up, Billie Jo often doubted her salvation even though she professed faith as a child. While attending college, she sought out the Lord through prayer and came to Him in genuine personal faith for the full assurance that she was a child of God. She was then baptized to publicly profess her faith in Christ.
Billie Jo enjoys reading and spending time with her family. Her favorite verse is:
Proverbs 3:5,6
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
