1. How was your life before coming to faith in Christ? For example,
where did you grow up? How was family, circumstances and life prior to
The Lord has given a wonderful Christian heritage. My parents were Christians but were not making Him the center of their lives when I was a child. But God intervened by giving me grandparents who loved the Lord and were serious about their walk with Him. So every weekend from the time I was very young, perhaps even three, my grandparents would pick me up on Fridays and let me spend the weekend with them so that I was sure to be in church on Sunday.
2. What made you open and interested in knowing God and obeying the
Gospel? Who shared Christ, was a witness or testimony to you? What
brought you to the point of believing?
When I was five I had attended our VBS where probably many of you ladies taught. I came home and told my mom that I wanted to ask Jesus to be my Savior. So she talked with me and I prayed in my bedroom and received Jesus. I knew even then that I loved God with my whole being and I wanted to serve Him.
3. How has it been since coming to Christ overall? More specifically,
how has your growth, opportunities to serve, struggles and perseverance
God has taken me through many journeys that have allowed me to really learn to trust Him. Some of these journies, loss of my grandpa, infertility, specific work in a Christian ministry, have been very difficult. I say often that many of them I would never want to relive, but I'm thankful for the work God has done in my life because of these times. God is Sovereign! I trust Him and know that although His ways and thoughts are not mine, He has a plan for me and holds me in the palm of His hand through each journey.
4. What is Your Story...:
Let me encourage those of you were are grandparents. You may never really know the influence you have had on your grandchildren, but you have. Your love for God can be used in their life.
