Journey to Bethlehem has become a Northwest Indiana Christmas tradition for thousands since 1997.
Join us for a journey back in time to the place of Christ's birth, as you and your family are guided through the streets of Jerusalem, through Nazareth, and on to Bethlehem.

Your visit will take you to the home of Mary, as the angel Gabriel brings to her the wonderful message that she is to be the mother of the Christchild, the long awaited Messiah and Savior of the world. As you make your way through the Hebrew marketplace, you will stop at the carpenter's shop of Joseph, Mary's espoused husband, as he shares with you how he was informed of God's amazing plan. Your journey will continue to the palace of King Herod as the Wisemen from the East arrive in search of the newborn King, whose star they followed from afar. As you travel toward Bethlehem, you will visit the inn where Mary and Joseph found no room. Next, you will witness the angels' appearance to the shepherds, as they tend their sheep on a Judean hillside. You will follow the shepherds as they rush to the stable and worship the infant King of kings and Lord of lords. You will be caught up in wonder and in awe as you witness the events of that first Christmas night before your very eyes.

Journey to Bethlehem will be presented at Lake Hills Baptist Church every other Christmas season on the even numbered years, with other special Christmas celebration events on the odd numbered years. As you arrive for your journey, you will be treated to some festive music of the season while groups of approximately 25 begin their journey about every 5 minutes. You can arrive any time between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. There is no charge for admission. Make your plans now to join us for Christmas 2008!
