Young Adults

Young adults are a vitally important, yet sadly underserved, part of God’s church. They love Christ and community, and many are seeking to find where they fit, what their roles are in Christ’s Church. They desire authenticity, authentic truth, and authentic relationships; they long to have a vibrant relationship with Christ and to have a meaningful impact in the world. Sadly, after graduating from high school, they are frequently placed in a holding pattern until they are “ready” for real responsibility.

At Lake Hills, we believe young adults are a vital part of God’s Church, and if He puts a passion in their hearts, we want to support them as much as possible! My name is Pastor Chewy. I came on staff at Lake Hills Baptist Church to shepherd the young adults in our church and our community. With the team I have assembled, our goal is to pour into this group, living life together, worshipping together, and teaching God’s word in an impactful way. I hope to develop an atmosphere of friendship, love, and trust. One that develops lifelong friendships and continues to be a source of encouragement and wisdom wherever life takes them.

We currently meet on Sundays at 9:45 to spend time together in God’s Word before Sunday service as well as Tuesday evenings at 7 PM for Bible Study in the Office Lower Level Classroom.  The Young Adults host evenings of worship and prayer, and are excited to expand into community outreach and service projects soon.
